Life with Mommy Loi - Neurodivergent Children - Parenting Kids with ADHD and Autism

One of the two things that inspired me to have this blog is my special needs community - Parents of Kids with ADHD and Autism (PH and Global). This group was created to provide support, information, resources, and network to benefit parents and caregivers of children diagnosed and undiagnosed and also adults with special needs. I started this blog as a way to give back and say thank you for the support, love, and understanding that I've received from this group. over the years. I've created 10+ resources to help parents navigate their children's ADHD and autism diagnoses. I've also shared personal stories, trials, tribulations, and triumphs that have been a part of my life as a mother of an ASD son. If you are also in a special needs community or know someone who is, please connect with me through my Facebook Group “ Parents of Kids with ADHD and Autism (PH and Global)” or follow me on my socials. Meet my family. My husband, Dennis. My first child Denise and my youngest, Louis. A mom of a Neurodivergent (previously known as Autism) child. My life has always been colorful and unique. All families are, aren’t they? Our own special story began in 2015 when Louis was initially diagnosed to have communication disorder and at risk of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at the age of 2.5 years old.  A few years after, after consulting with a handful of experts in this arena - Developmental-behavioral pediatricians, speech-language pathologists (SLP), occupational therapists, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapists within Metro Manila, he has his final diagnosis of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

We have traveled and fought many battles, meeting more challenges at every turn. Today I am grateful for the love and support we have received from each other as well as our amazing children. Our life is a continuous work of getting through struggle, joy, laughter, and new experiences with family. Everybody has their quirks, and that includes kids. The best way to show them your acceptance is to be there with them every step of the way. After all, it's not a perfect world.

Connect with other parents, and share honest stories about the highs and lows of parenthood through our blogs, vlogs, and socials. Let’s make this community stronger than ever!
